Privacy policy

Valheimwiki.net is an unofficial fan wiki about the game Valheim. This page explains what data the site handles, where it goes and what you can do with it. In short: the site currently has no cookies, ads or accounts or analytics, and we receive your data only when you write to us through the support form.

What the site collects by itself

Nothing. We do not set cookies, connect analytics or ad services, or track which pages you open. Fonts and images are loaded from the site itself, with no requests to third-party servers.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.). Like any web server, Cloudflare may record technical details of requests, including the IP address and browser type, to keep the service running and protected from abuse. We have no access to these logs. For details see the Cloudflare privacy policy.

What is stored in your browser

A few entries in the browser’s local storage (localStorage) so that the features you use work:

• browsing history: the pages you opened last, for the “History” section;
• favorite pages: whatever you added to “Favorites”;
• time of the last form submission: to protect the support form from spam.

These entries stay on your device only and are not sent to us. You can delete them at any time by clearing the site data in your browser settings.

Ads

There are no ads on the site right now. We may show ads later to cover the costs of the wiki. Before that we will update this page: we will describe what data ad partners use and how to limit personalized ads, and we will ask visitors from the EU, the UK and Switzerland for consent before setting any ad cookies.

Support form

When you send a message through the “Support” page, we receive what you typed yourself: your name, email, topic, page, the text and any attached files.

• Why: only to review your message and reply to you. We do not sell this data, do not pass it to ad partners and do not subscribe you to mailing lists.
• Legal basis: your consent, which you give by ticking the box before sending.
• Spam protection: before sending, the form is checked by Cloudflare Turnstile, which judges without cookies that a person is filling it in.
• Where it goes: the message is received by our server function on Cloudflare, and the email is delivered by EmailJS to our mailbox valheimwiki.net@gmail.com (Gmail, Google). Attached files are stored with Cloudinary, and only the wiki team receives the links to them. These services may process data on servers outside Ukraine and the EU, including in the USA.
• How long we keep it: as long as needed to handle your message. We will delete the email and files on request.

Links to other sites

Wiki pages contain links to other sites, such as Thunderstore or Steam. They do not belong to us and have their own privacy rules.

Children

The wiki is not aimed at children under 13 and we knowingly collect no data from them. If a child has sent us a message, write to us and we will delete it.

Your rights

You can find out what data of yours we hold, correct or delete it, or withdraw your consent. To do so, write to valheimwiki.net@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights or to the data protection authority in your country.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and change the date at the top.
