One-handed axes cut down both enemies and trees: besides combat damage they deal chop damage, so the same axe can also fell trees. The primary attack is a three-hit combo whose last swing hits harder. The secondary attack is a slow overhead swing with a ×1.5 damage multiplier. Your other hand stays free for a shield.
